On Call – Enjoy Your Privacy by Screening Unwanted Calls
Receiving calls during meetings or at night while sleeping is the biggest problem being faced by a lot of people these days. It is really a nuisance when your sleep gets disturbed due to prank calls. Are you a person facing such problems often? Is it possible to put an end to this trouble? Yes, here is an app named ‘On Call’ which will relieve you from unwanted interruptions.
About the app:
On Call is an Android app that helps you maintain your privacy and avoid interruptions during busy hours, by blocking unwanted calls. You can add any number of contacts to your On Call list. You can import contacts from your mobile or add new phone numbers. This app has many other features which will help you in managing your calls easily.
Working of the app:
Once you install On Call on your mobile, you can select the contacts from your mobile or just click your favorite contacts and add them to your active contact list. Once your active contact list is ready, all incoming calls and messages from the screened list will be disabled. With just a single click, you can remove a number from your active list. When you remove all the contacts from the active list, your normal phone settings will be activated.
On Call archives all your call logs, lets you view texts with a quick tap and allows you to add any number of contacts to your favorite list. You can choose any type of alert notification for calls and texts – enable the screen light when you get a call/text, vibration alerts or select ringtones for calls and texts from the given list of tones. You can customize your ringer and alert volume.
You can send text messages to your friends about the app and invite them to use it. You can share your opinions and suggestions about On Call via Twitter and Facebook. On Call has an elegant UI and is very useful in screening calls. One thing which I noticed while exploring the app is that it has only limited functionality. It would be good if a missed call alert option could be included. Anyway, it is a productive tool to avoid dealing with unwanted calls, especially at times when you are busy and don’t want to be distracted from your work.
On Call is a free app which requires Android 2.2 or later versions.
