Sticky Blocks Free is a block sliding Android puzzle that has a number of interesting aspects packed into it. Unlike the usual sliding games, this app has got a variety of captivating features that make the game all the more amusing.

Sticky blocks consists of blocks of various shapes and sizes. The blocks can be moved in different directions. The central piece is a white block. The objective of the game is to move the white block to the target red squared exit area. In order to shift the white block, all the other blocks in between have to be altered. Beware, many sticky wobbling blocks are there in your path to pose a challenge. These sticky blocks can stick together with each other to form a solid shape.

There are six different levels in the game such as novice, easy, medium, hard, difficult and bonus. The novice level has the minimum number of blocks whereas the difficult level has many blocks with a large gameplay area. There are a total of 300 intuitive puzzles in the app for you to solve.

To make the game more enthralling, there are hidden gems on the blocks that are to be found. And there are creatures like frogs and bugs that are to be collected for bonus points. You will also be provided with options to skip difficult puzzles if you collect the butterflies that appear now and then. You can swap the gems that you have collected to play bonus puzzles.

Sticky blocks has a pleasant graphical display with cool navigation elements. The music score is also noteworthy. Apart from this, the app has options to change the backdrop to the one you like. If you make wrong moves, you can undo them.

But the touch controls in this app were slow at times. I had to press hard on a block to move it. It would be good if this part is fixed. Other than that, this is an enjoyable app for anyone who likes playing puzzles.

Comfi Call International is an Android app which allows you to call your friends, family or anyone abroad at cheap calling rates. It eliminates the need to use calling cards. The application helps you save up to 98% of international call charges.

You can set up the app in quick simple steps. After you’ve loaded the app, you will be prompted to activate your mobile number with the app. Once you’ve set up your Comfi account, the app recognizes the contacts from your address book and lists all the international contacts.

The app works only in the U.S. right now. The working of the app is pretty cool. Having recognized the international numbers from your contacts, the app automatically assigns appropriate U.S. local numbers to each of them. So, when you make calls abroad, your calls will be treated only as local calls and billed as per your calling plans.

The app comes with four different tabs. The ‘Intl. Contacts’ tab fetches international contact numbers and assigns U.S. dialing numbers automatically for you to make calls easily. The ‘Recent’ tab stores the log information of the very recent calls that you made. You can refer to your recent call history in a detailed manner.

There is a ‘Keypad’ tab next to the Recent tab. Using the Keypad tab you can dial any international number or fetch the number without exiting from the app. The ‘Account’ tab allows you to check your mobile number and your current balance. You can also add credit and look at the purchase history of your account. There is an ‘Auto Refill’ option using which you can recharge your account with your credit card details.

You can also get complete information about various international call charges and plans through the ‘Calling Rates’ option. You can reach Comfi’s customer care service through the ‘Customer Service’ option provided in the app. An exciting aspect of the app is that you do not require 3G or Wi-Fi to use it.

Comfi Call International has an appealing display with pleasant graphical elements. The navigation and the menu items are simple and easy to use. The sound quality of the calls through the app is also very good.

One of the things that bothered me is that when you change your phone number, you have to install the app again, as there is no way of updating your new number. In addition to this, it would be better if the services are available to people in other countries too. Apart from these drawbacks, Comfi Call International is truly a great app to make cheap international calls.

Icy Joe Free is a cool Android game which is packed with loads of fun and adventure. The theme of the game revolves around an Eskimo named ‘Joe’. Mighty Little Joe has fallen deep down into an ice cave. You have to help Joe come out of the cave to meet his pretty Eskimo girl. But that’s not as easy as it sounds! There are many giant ice blocks and vicious animals on Joe’s way to stop his progress. Joe has to perform some action sequences to smash those enemies and climb up to victory.

The player of the game is Joe. So you’ve got to put in all your efforts to attack your enemies and find your way out of the deadly cold cave. You are given a hammer to destroy your enemies. You can move to the desired direction by tilting your Android device in that direction. You can tap on the left side of the screen to attack your enemies with the hammer. You can jump by tapping on the right side of your Android screen. Attacking your enemies will fetch you some points. You can also gain additional points by collecting coins that randomly appear on your way.

There are 50 awesome levels in Icy Joe Free. The levels range from easy to difficult. The game becomes more challenging (and addictive, of course!) as you progress through higher levels . You are provided with certain lives when you start the game and you have to reach the target (which is a camp fire) before all your lives end.

The attractive part of Icy Joe Free is the chill graphical display. The icy cold theme adds glory to the game. The icy walls and the animals are given an excellent snowy touch. Charming Joe will amaze you with its cute little actions throughout the game. I am sure people of all age groups can thoroughly enjoy the game as it has some magical power to keep people hooked.

The game could have been still better if there were some actual control keys displayed on the screen. The blank left and right tap options might confuse first time players. Other than that, this is a perfect game for anyone who has a thirst for adventure and arcade-style games.

Devin Balentina, a Samsung Galaxy Note owner from Netherlands has posted an image of the Android 4.0 update on Twitter.

The latest update, known as the “Premium Suite”, brings in a lot of exciting new features for Galaxy Note users. Some of its outstanding aspects are the TouchWiz user interface, S Note app and My Story feature. The S Note app allows users to take notes or scribble on pictures or anywhere on web pages. The My Story feature lets users create their own digital cards with many interesting options.

There is also a new video feature called Everywhere which can be used to play a video in a part of the screen and carry out other tasks in the other part of the screen. The upgrade also offers a new S Memo widget. There is also a digital scrapbook tool that lets users write math equations on the screen. The tool recognizes the hand written equation automatically and solves it for the user.

Apart from these features, the suite offers a lot of intuitive productivity tools. The size of the update is 319 MB.

NPD unveiled a report based on their recent study named ‘OS Share of Smartphone Sale’ for Q1 of 2012. The report says that Android sales dropped from 61% in Q3 to 49% in Q4 of 2011 whereas Apple’s iPhone sales surged from 25% to 41% in Q4 last year.

But amazingly, Android has reclaimed the same 61% of the U.S. smartphone sales during the first quarter of this year. On the other hand, Apple’s sale has dropped to 29% in Q1 of this year. iOS and Android together accounted for 90% of all U.S. smartphone sales.

According to another recent research by Nielsen regarding smartphone ownership, two out of three people aged between 25-34 years own a smartphone. There are about 50.9% of female mobile users who own a smartphone and about 50.1% of men carrying a smartphone in the country.

The report also says that Asian Americans dominate in smartphone ownership with 67.3% of the people using a smartphone as their main handset.

Falling Moron Test is an Android application that displays a set of instructions (just like an IQ test) which you have to follow to find the right answer.

There are five sections in the application and each section consists of different parts. Questions are displayed in a rapid manner and you are required to think very fast to answer them, in order to complete a section.

Before I started playing, I thought it would be a usual puzzle with some logical questions, math related ones and so on. Once I started with section 1 of the app, I was given some literal instructions to follow. It seemed very easy till I got some vague instructions like “Touch the i”, which came with options that did not have the letter ‘i’ at all. I was racking my brains for the answer when a message saying ‘Sorry Try Again’ was displayed. Then I realized that I have to touch the ‘i’ that is in the instruction (Out of the box thinking!)

Another question displayed some numbers like ’1 4 10′ and I was asked how many numbers were shown. The answer choices were 1, 4 and 15. Don’t you think the correct answer would be 3 ? You will have to use your logical skill to guess that the right answer is 4.

There are so many similar questions packed in this game which leave you baffled. Do not fall into the trap. There are also many choices and hints that are displayed out of the screen (you have to scroll down to view it) for you to choose from. You have to react very quickly to answer the questions otherwise you will fail. Remember the fact that you may need to think out of the box to answer some questions.

Each section has different fun-filled puzzles with mind-blowing cartoon characters. All the sections can be completed within minutes if you know the answers right away.

The only drawback of Falling Moron Test is that, all the questions appear in the same order in all the sections. So, whenever you fail and go back to the beginning, you have to come across the same questions that you have solved earlier. This aspect of the game makes it less engaging. It would have been better if the developer had introduced some randomness in the questions and included some more sections in the game. But then, you can play this game to prove your smartness to others.

The LG Cloud service allows users to store their multimedia content in their dedicated LG Cloud account. Users can download the LG Cloud Android app from Google Play or LG SmartWorld. The app automatically synchronizes the content on the Android smartphone with LG’s cloud storage and lets users view the content instantaneously on other devices like PCs and Smart TVs.

The users can also stream videos to their Android phones, PCs or Smart TVs from their cloud storage account. LG has employed Real-time Streaming Technology for this purpose. The service also supports 3D videos and photos.

LG Cloud service offers 50 GB of free space to users initially for the first six months. After that, the storage will drop down to 5 GB for LG smartphone owners and 2 GB for non LG smartphone owners. However, the prices for the cloud storage usage are not yet available.

It is easy to note that major technological companies have started employing their own cloud storage services. Samsung is ready to launch its S-Cloud service on May 3 and Google announced its Google Drive last week. Apple has already unveiled its iCloud service while Microsoft has also released its official SkyDrive service. Amazon’s Cloud Drive service is also there in the market. Many other companies have also expressed their interest in launching their own cloud storage services in the near future.

The updated version 2.8.0.920 of Skype has brought out interesting enhancements in the functionality of the app. The most notable change in the app is the improved start-up time. The updated app now opens much faster than ever before. The video quality for video chat has been refined and users can now send photos and videos to their contacts.

Video rotation support has also been added for a few more unspecified Android devices. The update features a restyled messaging interface. The new instant messaging view resembles Skype’s desktop app.

Skype for Android is available for free and it can be downloaded from the Google Play store.
