Instapaper App Launched for Android Devices
Instapaper, the popular iOS bookmarking app has finally made its way to the Android devices. The Android debut of the app has taken every Android user by storm as it was not expected to be launched very soon. The iOS version of the app has seen millions of downloads in iTunes till date.
Instapaper is an amazing tool that lets users quickly and easily save favorite articles for reading later. If users do not have time to read a lengthy article or their favorite ones, all they have to do is save them in the Instapaper app using 3G or Wi-Fi connection. The saved article can be read later even offline.
Instapaper’s Google Play description said, “Great for long articles and blog posts that you find during the day and would like to read, but don’t have the time when you find them.”
The app automatically downloads the text version of each page and structures it to provide users with maximum readability on mobile screens. The Android version of the app offers many sharing options where users can share their favorite articles across multiple platforms.
Instapaper’s creator Marco Arment spoke to The Verge, “For me personally, Instapaper is now a tablet app first, and smartphone second.” He further said that the Android version was built “specifically for small tablets like Kindle Fire and Nook Color, large tablets like the Motorola Xoom as well as most Android phones running 2.1 (Eclair) and up.”
The Android version of the Instapaper app costs $2.99.
