How does the app work?

The app has 4 map views namely Normal, Satellite, Hybrid and Terrain. The Normal view of the map provides a clear display of all locations with labels. The Satellite option provides a satellite view of the map. The Hybrid option (a combination of normal and satellite view) shows a satellite view along with labels. The Terrain view showcases all the physical features like ponds, rivers, railways, gardens etc.

Using the app, Where is …?, you can store the locations of any 4 different places, like a hotel, pool, park and pub. You can retrieve the information later for reference or rename them according to your needs. Where is …? provides you with a parking option that helps you in making a list of details like your vehicle’s color, floor number, section and other notes. This option comes in handy when you park your vehicle in a big mall and need help in locating it.

Using the Go option in the app, you can specify how you will be traveling – by foot, by driving or by public transport. When you select the means of transport and specify the destination, the app directs you to the spot automatically. Instructions like ‘turn left to reach the bridge’, ‘continue onto to reach the university’, ‘exit onto right’ and ‘get to Toll Gate’ are really helpful.

The app provides you with an exclusive share option using which you can share your current position with friends through Bluetooth, social media, mail, texts etc. Where is …? has a Lab option with which you can measure the distances between various places in meters. The app is available in multiple languages that include French, German, Italian and Galician.
