A Game Of Shades – Tap on the Silhouettes and Make Your Guesses
Most of us would agree that Pokemon, Tom and Jerry, Superman and Looney Tunes bring back fond memories of our childhood days. And as we grew up and became busy with hectic college schedules and work routines, these things just got pushed out of our minds. Now, what do you think about going back to those days for a while? Here is an Android app for you called ‘A Game Of Shades’. This app contains silhouettes of more than 50 cartoons, Pokemon, logos etc. The idea of the game is to guess the characters by looking at the shadows. Remember that this guessing game is not as easy as it seems.
What’s the app about?
A Game Of Shades is a unique puzzle app which has more than 300 challenging shadows. It is easy to play but difficult to master. You will have to think hard to get all the answers right.
How does the app work?
When you open the app you will find 5 categories named Logos, Cartoons, Pokemon, Cities and Countries. Each category has more than 40 shadows. Once you choose a category, all the shadows of the selected category are displayed. It is time now to put on your thinking cap. Select a shadow and start guessing. There is a hint option to help you. Tap on the check option to verify the answer. Once you give the right answer, the original image is revealed and you can proceed to the next silhouette.
Special features of the app:
The hints in ‘A Game Of Shades’ aren’t all that obvious and they test your logical skills. And the hints are the most interesting attribute of this game. Hints like ‘Quietly brilliant’, ‘Refreshing little lifts’, ‘Penny-pincher’, ‘Lego’ etc., made me feel astonished. The most exciting feature of the app is the comments that you receive after solving the puzzle. Some comments like ‘Sweet’, ‘Nice’, ‘Awesome work’, ‘You rock!’ etc, gave me the confidence boost to play on.
I felt that an option to post the questions on social media could have been provided to make the app more effective and helped users get help from friends or compete against them. I also noticed that the app does not have a reset option, taking away the opportunity of answering a question which has already been answered once. Apart from this, the app is a perfect entertainer for people of all ages.
‘A Game Of Shades’ is a free app which requires an Android version of 2.2 and above.
